Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy explains what RemoveFromPhoto ("we") collects when you use removefromphoto.com, why, and for how long. The site is run by RemoveFromPhoto. Questions: hello@removefromphoto.com.
1. Your photos
When you click Remove people, your browser sends your photo and the area you painted to our server over a secure connection. Photos are shrunk to at most 1536 pixels on the longest side before they leave your device.
- Our server only holds your photo while it's being processed. We don't save it or log it.
- Our AI partner, fal.ai (Features and Labels, Inc., USA), checks the photo for nudity and then removes the painted area. We ask fal.ai not to keep a record of these requests.
- The finished image is kept by fal.ai at a private link for up to one hour, so your browser can download it. Then it's deleted automatically.
- In every case, your photo and the result are deleted within 24 hours.
- No one on our team looks at your photos, and we never use them to train AI.
2. Data saved in your browser
So your result doesn't disappear if the page reloads, a copy of your photo and the result is saved in your browser, on your device. It never leaves your device. It's replaced by your next edit, expires after 24 hours (it's removed the next time you visit), and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data.
3. The free daily limit
To give everyone 2 free removals a day, we count how many you've used in two ways:
- a cookie called
rp_uidwith a random ID (no personal information), which expires after 48 hours; and - a scrambled version of your IP address that can't be turned back into the real address.
These counts are stored in our database at Cloudflare, deleted after 48 hours, and used only for the daily limit.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (country or city), what device and browser they use, and a few actions such as uploading a photo, starting and finishing a removal, and clicking download or upgrade. Google Analytics uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*). We never send your photos to Google. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Server logs and email
Our host, Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser and time of visit, for a short time to keep the site secure and fix problems. If you email us, we keep your email only as long as we need to help you.
6. Companies that process data for us
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, domain and daily usage counts (USA, with servers worldwide)
- Features and Labels, Inc. (fal.ai): photo safety check and editing (USA)
- Google LLC: website analytics (USA)
These companies may process data outside your country. We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it for advertising.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Since we don't store photos or run accounts, we hold very little, but email hello@removefromphoto.com and we'll help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we don't knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We'll announce big changes on the site.
